This series is a fantasy that is based on alchemy (the science that allows one to transmute matter into a different field), and is set in the early 20th century.
Plot
Edward and Alphonse Elric are two brothers from an early age engaged in the science of alchemy, both seem to have a predisposition for the subject.
They live in a small village with his mother, while her father turns out to be left for the war, but there has been no news for a long time.
The two brothers suddenly lose their mother due to illness and pain accumulated causes a reaction that pushes them to perform a technique forbidden human transmutation.
