Synopsis The year is 2000 when a cataclysm sconvoge Planet Earth. The United Nations
disclose information about an explosion in the northern hemisphere, Antarctica is melting, probably due to the impact with a meteorite.
The cataclysm caused an enormous fear in the population and the disaster disrupts the entire planet.
The disaster will be remembered as "Second Impact".
After 15 years it seems that the weather is going to stabilize, but new events are approaching.
Shinji Ikari, is contacted by his father who had not seen since childhood, who urges him to join him in capacity of Neo Tokyo-3, at the agency where she works: Nerv.
